We have a fantastic opportunity for a Distribution Analyst to join our talented Commercial & Marketing team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
 
We’re looking for a bright-minded individual to work with our Distribution team, collaborating with our price comparison website (PCW) partners, Retail Pricing team and Digital team.
 
You’ll help identify opportunities by piecing together our data to understand how we can optimise the new business journey through pricing and conversion initiatives.
 
You’ll be responsible for providing innovative and high-quality analysis along with pricing recommendations to drive initiatives and improve profitability.
 
We’ll be committed to supporting your development with a programme of training with various internal and external partners.
 
Job responsibilities
 
  • Solve key company questions and provide innovative analysis, insight and competitive advantage to the company by producing reports that maximise customer satisfaction and the profitability of the business
  • Collaborate with external distribution partners, learning about their data packages and what opportunities we can extract from them
  • Develop strong partner relationships to identify efficiency improvements in pricing offers, challenging the current way of working
  • Learn about our e-commerce platform and digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics in order to help review the end-to-end customer journey
  • Monitor and analyse trading performance in order to inform tactical recommendations to support trading objectives in a profitable manner
  • Write new analysis code using SAS, RADAR, and other software packages
  • Build predictive models using SAS, EMBLEM, and other software packages
  • Ad-hoc project work, providing analysis and reports to the business while ensuring you present findings and results in a clear and logical manner
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
 
  • Minimum 2:1 in a numerical undergraduate discipline
  • MS Office tools (Excel in particular)
  • Experience of working with statistical techniques
  • Some experience of a programming language
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems
  • Excellent data and statistical analysis skills
  • Good communication and relationship building skills
  • Broad knowledge of statistical methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of motor insurance products and the motor insurance industry is desirable
  • Logical thinker with solid reasoning ability
  • Commercially focused
