We’re on the hunt for a talented Senior Business Modelling Analyst to join our Finance team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester.
 
The successful candidate will need to be commercially focused and apply their understanding of insurance transactions and the workings of various business units to create and maintain project investment appraisals/cost benefit analysis. These will cover a broad range of activities and will help to inform both current business change and longer-term strategic planning decisions.
 
Job responsibilities
  • Develop cost benefit analysis and reporting for all business initiatives within your area of responsibility
  • Update/manipulate data using relevant software
  • Liaise with all departments on issues of reporting requirements, data analysis, business processes and operational issues
  • Responsible for finding solutions to and making recommendations on everyday business issues
  • Produce timely and accurate information and commentary for management decision-making purposes
  • Maintain version control on all budgets, re-forecasts and models
  • Develop effective working relationships with managers and stakeholders and ensure all reporting and forecasting of income is accessible and intelligible to them
  • Focus on process improvements and maintain accurate and up-to-date process notes
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
 
  • Finance, mathematical or computing degree an advantage
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Experience of using data manipulation tools (e.g. Business Objects, SAS BI Tools) is advantageous
  • Detailed knowledge of personal lines insurance
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and adopt a logical approach to resolving them
  • Commercially and customer focused
  • Logical thinker with solid reasoning ability
