We’re on the lookout for a Treasury Assistant to join our Finance team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
 
You’ll be responsible for carrying out daily treasury activities such as processing payments, cash management, reporting and assisting the Treasury Analyst with a range of tasks and projects.  

With a great eye for detail, you’ll need to ensure all bank accounts have sufficient funding to enable the business to meet all commitments on time, as well as being responsible for payment of suppliers and colleague expenses for the group companies.

It’s essential that you have experience of bank reconciliations processes, together with strong Microsoft Excel skills, as you’ll need to be able to hit the ground running.
 
Job responsibilities
  • Ensure all payment requests are approved in accordance with the Delegation of Authority Matrix
  • Prepare all company payments for processing whether cheque or electronic
  • Maintain audit logs for all processed payments
  • Update cashflow/liquidity forecasting for all group companies
  • Assist in the scheduling of the monthly money movements across the group companies
  • Conduct the daily cheque run
  • Maintain the payments timetable for the UK companies
  • Investigate and resolve queries raised by stakeholders
  • Record all insurance recoveries received and upload onto the relevant Claims system
  • Act as a key contact with the bank
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • Proven experience gained in a treasury function and bank reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of the banking requirements and processes
  • Sound understanding of the structure of the group and its operations
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements, including Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
  • Excellent reconciliation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good time management and organisation skills, with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and adopt a logical approach to resolving them
