We’re on the hunt for a talented, ambitious Head of HR to join our Human Resources team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

The successful candidate will need to develop and deliver the HR strategy while driving the performance of our people and business.

You’ll lead a team of HR professionals, empowering them to drive impact across the business as true business partners whilst maintaining focus on delivering a compelling and rewarding colleague experience to enable us to recruit, motivate and retain key talent.
 
Job responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Executive and Senior Management team to support delivery of the business plan and have a particular focus on people and organisational effectiveness
  • Provide functional expertise in the areas of Talent & Resourcing, Employee Relations, Organisational Design, Reward Management, Performance Management and HR processing
  • Oversee and guide the company’s approach to employee relations, lead on escalated or complex cases and ensure the business is kept informed of all legislation within HR and employment law
  • Lead on pay and reward strategies, including leading the annual salary and bonus process
  • Play a lead role in embedding diversity and inclusion and driving our chosen culture
  • Work with the Executive and Senior Management team to ensure that HR implications are considered when devising or reviewing business strategies and initiatives
  • Engage with the Executive and Senior Management to enhance our organisational design and effectiveness to support delivery of the business plan
  • Proactively use relevant data and metrics to identify trends and initiatives to drive initiatives to improve HR performance
  • Lead the budget setting process within HR and proactively manage spend during the year
  • Develop and deliver people management processes and solutions to meet business needs, improve internal efficiencies and ensure compliance with relevant legislations
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • CIPD qualification required
  • Strong experience operating at a senior executive level
  • Significant commercial experience within the insurance industry with profit & loss responsibility
  • Experience of developing and delivering people strategies
  • Variance and financial/budgetary analysis
  • Strong understanding of the requirements of the FCA
  • Excellent understanding of employment law and employment market trends
  • Business case analysis and development
