We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Learning Business Partner to join our fun and friendly Learning & Development (L&D) team in Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath,West sussex on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

As the Learning Business Partner, you’ll need to be a proactive partner to our leaders and teams across the business, aligning functional L&D strategy with business strategy.
 
You’ll confidently lead the learning and development service for Claims, Operations and Digital to deliver business-specific development solutions, which equip employees at all levels with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles effectively.
 
Job responsibilities
  • Support the L&D Manager in developing the digital learning strategy for First Central and be an advocate for leading edge blended learning initiatives such as video, animations and virtual classrooms to support in next generation digital learning methods
  • Develop systems and standards for business reporting, producing regular reports on all learning undertaken, demonstrating the business benefit of the activity and evaluating to the agreed level
  • Lead and support work on key business projects in Claims and Operations as well as manage the design and execution of large-scale people projects
  • Be responsible for the L&D relationship with third party suppliers and outsourcers, managing risks, content, quality and reporting where required whilst building strong relationships to work across the group
  • Conduct learning needs analysis using insight from multiple channels and review training currently offered in line with business objectives
  • Create an engaging team environment to maintain a consistent level of motivation and enable your team to focus on key deliverables, supporting upskilling where necessary
  • Present a range of relevant and innovative solutions, logically and with credibility, to gain buy-in from senior stakeholders with the aim of improving engagement, retention and development of colleagues
  • Ensure a consistent quality standard of training content is used, which meets our regulatory requirement across both Claims and Operational areas
  • Champion the development of digital learning skills and capabilities throughout the L&D team, ensuring members keep abreast of developments of external and internal best practice
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and all its component parts, and act as the primary point of contact with the LMS vendor for resolution of issues related to system performance and reporting
  • Regularly track and report on training activities conducted by employees of all levels and advise leadership on trends, including IDD and CPD
  • Research industry trends and propose ideas to HRD for inclusion in the L&D strategy
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • Certificate in Learning & Development
  • Coaching qualification
  • Myers Briggs (MBTI) desirable
  • Experience of managing and implementing innovative projects across a range of learning and development projects, size and type
  • Ability to give constructive feedback to colleagues and internal customers
  • Ability to run multiple high-level projects to deadline
  • Strong presentation skills
  • High-level facilitation and coaching skills
  • Understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design and supporting technologies
  • Good understanding of the business objectives
  • Ensure quality of work and timeliness by proactively resolving problems
  • Proactively seek opportunities and feedback to develop business acumen to improve performance and overall capability
  • Display enthusiasm, accountability, commitment and sense of purpose in interactions with customers and colleagues
