We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our Data Services team in either our Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester office.

As a BI Developer, you’ll work closely with all teams within the Data Services department and be the subject matter expert on the visualisation tools, data structures and report outputs. Working closely with the business analysts, you’ll understand data requirements and business needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved at the start of the company’s strategic journey for implementing a data visualisation and data science programme.

Job responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reporting data structures and outputs
  • Produce technical visualisation designs to enable efficient data delivery to the business
  • Work effectively within the BI governance and Data Quality Framework
  • Create and update technical documentation and follow business processes
  • Be the data visualisation expert for the business in the chosen BI tool (Tableau)
  • Develop the Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated marts
  • Identify and feedback any potential improvements to new and existing reporting BI solutions
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and engage effectively with third party providers
  • Develop and maintain data quality monitoring and reconciliation dashboards
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • ​Previous experience in Visualisation Development using the Tableau suite of products, together with knowledge of reporting Data Structures and Design and Data Warehouse Structures
  • Understanding of Microsoft BI Solutions including SSAS and SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and exposure to a BI tool would be highly desirable
  • Experience of working on agile projects with the ability to be flexible in approach
  • Client focused and results driven with a commercial awareness

  • Emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strives to drive business improvements to contribute to the success of the business
