Our Procurement Team are looking for a Supply Chain Assurance Specialist to support the Third Party management work across First Central.

You'll develop the new supplier management framework, re-invigorate the third party due diligence process, working closely with the Supply Chain Assurance Business Partner to roll these out.

We love hybrid working, so you'll spend most of your time working from home, with a day a week in the office, but of course, it’s your choice - if you prefer to be in the office more - that's good with us too. 

You'll be the prefect person for us if you:

  • Have third party supplier management experience
  • Ideally have experience of working in financial services or regulated environment
  • Have great stakeholder management skills
  • Are tenacious and proactive
  • Have a strong eye for detail

Job responsibilities:

  • Support the Supply Chain Assurance Business Partner in the creation and development of new tools, templates and guidance which will form the Supplier Management Framework
  • Support the Supply Chain Assurance Business Partner in rolling out the Supplier Management Framework to relevant colleagues across the business
  • Help support the smooth running of the Supplier Management Forum
  • Monitor compliance against the Supplier Management Framework
  • Support the development of material for and assist in the presenting of webinars and drop-in sessions on various aspects of the Supplier Management Framework and other topical themes to the business as required
  • Support the Supply Chain Business Partner in developing the maturity and capability of colleagues undertaking supplier management activities across the organisation
  • Continuous development and improvement of the Supplier Management internal SharePoint site as a resource centre for all colleagues undertaking supplier management activity
  • Develop strong relationship with business stakeholders across the organisation to build credibility and act as a trusted colleague to provide supplier management advice and support
  • Own, develop and manage the Supplier Ownership Process within the organisation to ensure that all active suppliers within scope in the Group P&SM Policy have a named Relationship Manager in place
  • Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all time
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Good understanding of supplier management best practice
  • Good knowledge of supply chain risks ad controls
  • Experience in financial services and knowledge of the regulatory environment is preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Proactive and positive approach to work, taking ownership and initiative where appropriate
  • Good influencing skills
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good problem solving skills with ability to translate issues and seek resolutions
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
