Are you looking for a career with a fast-growing, dynamic company? Well look no further! We need a Group Supply Chain Assurance Manager to join our Procurement team in in either Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester.
 
There’s never been a better time to join us, being part of our talented, passionate and growing Procurement team, you’ll create, implement and ensure ongoing adherence to the Supplier Management Framework (SRM), in accordance with the Group Procurement Policy & Group Risk Management Policy.
 
Using deep industry and professional knowledge to continuously improve supplier management practices across the Group, you’ll liaise with senior management to embed the SRM framework on a risk enabled basis, in accordance with regulatory requirements, for third-party suppliers across all categories including external suppliers and intercompany service provision.
 
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
  • Excellent knowledge of motor claims and the insurance industry
  • Solid understanding of the business objectives and business processes
  • Excellent knowledge of financial services, motor insurance products, FCA requirements and TCF
  • Excellent knowledge of Procurement and Supplier Management activity
 
Job responsibilities
  • Create, own and lead the embedding of the SRM governance framework, aligned to the Group Procurement Policy and Procedures and Group Risk Management Policy
  • Monitor and support a matrix supplier management structure, working collaboratively with relationship managers across the organisation to help them ensure they’re compliant with processes, policy and regulation
  • Continuously improve and manage the supplier on-boarding process to ensure all material and non-material suppliers owned by each business area adhere to the Group Procurement Policy and Procedures
  • Lead annual material supplier risk reviews and ensure that any issues identified are owned and managed in accordance with the Group Risk Management Policy
  • Input into annual material supplier contract reviews and ensure contracts continue to meet operational and regulatory requirements
  • Lead due diligence exercises on existing and proposed suppliers
  • Maintain oversight of supplier performance reviews including reviewing associated documentation and monitoring their frequency, providing regular reporting of such reviews
  • Provide regular consolidated reporting on key supplier performance from across the Group
  • Continuously improve supplier performance and risk assessment governance and metrics
  • Administer processes and controls to manage all supplier information and act as primary data controller for supplier data
 
Skills, knowledge & experience
  • Highly experienced in supplier relationship and contract management in a financial services organisation
  • Solid experience of audit, risk and controls in a regulated environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a de-centralised supplier relationship management environment
  • Ability to work with numerous stakeholders across an extensive and varied supplier base
  • Supplier database management and reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts and service level agreements
  • Line management experience
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach to resolving problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to listen, question and understand operational and business needs
